Itinerary Details
DAY 01: NAIROBI- SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
The driver will pick you up in the morning after breakfast at around 8am and of you head for Samburu national reserve in a tour van. You will stop over for lunch on the way and arrive at the reserve early evening. You will proceed for an evening game drive and later go to the camp for dinner and overnight. Budget accommodation: Camel Lodge Meal Plan: [lunch and dinner]DAY 02: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE FULL DAY
The driver will pick you up from the campsite and with your picnic lunch you will depart for a game drive in the wild of Samburu national reserve. This is one of the best reserves to be in Kenya that is referred to a home for the “special five”. The Samburu community also have a village hat is located within the reserve whose culture is very interesting. You will have a chance to enjoy your picnic lunch on the banks of River Ewaso Nyiro that cuts through the reserve and serves as a watering point for majority of the animals that live here. DAY 03: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE-MAU MAU CAVES (MOUNT KENYA)
After breakfast at the Hotel, the driver will pick you up and you will depart for Mount Kenya and lunch enroute on the way. On arrival you will go for a nature walk in the Mau Mau caves and later go to the Hotel for diner and overnight. The driver will pick you up at the hotel after breakfast and off you depart for Lake Nakuru with a stopover at the Nyahururu Thompson falls to grab the spectacular view of the fall. With lunch en route you will arrive at Nakuru in the evening and the driver will drop you at the hotel for dinner and overnight. The driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and off for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru national park before leave for Naivasha and stop over on the highway for lunch. On arrival you will go for an adventurous walk in the gorges in Hells gate national park and also have a chance for cycling and probably go for a boat ride at Lake Naivasha; this activity is optional. Depart from the camp after breakfast with your picnic lunch because. You will have a chance to be taken to the Mara River where the migration takes place at specific months of the year. Apart from experiencing the savanna grassland that covers the entire reserve you can also have a chance to learn more about the culture of the Masai community that live in a village that is within the reserve. This activity is optional at an extra charge to be paid to the Masai elders found at the village. Before then you will be taken to the to the hippo pool where you will have your picnic lunch before proceeding back to the camp for dinner and overnight. After taking some coffee or tea at the camp the driver will pick you up at around 6:30am and set off for an early morning game drive around the reserve and back to the camp for full breakfast before departing for Nairobi with a stopover for lunch on the way. Arriving in the evening and drop off at your respective hotel.
